Wednesday dawned as another fine day. We chatted with the maitre'd at the hotel, and he talked about the house he had just bought as I had already joked with him that we were going out to buy a house that day, having scanned the real estate pages over breakfast. I was never sure if he knew we were joking or not! Seeing as The house prices we were looking at were in the millions. I safely say that we were joking. The day began. We walked into Headmasters hair dressers, the Hammersmith branch. Sat down and was soon greeted by my stylist for the day , Malachi. We talked about how I wanted my hair, and we set to the washing process. He was Hirt and black, with lots of tats and ear piercings. Over the scissors he told me his life story, how he was from Ipswich, where he lived in London and who with, that he wanted to be a session stylist working in fashion shows and in film sets. Snip snap, I was done, no real difference to my looks, but a neat and tidy cut that had got rid of the haystack. Lots of fun! Later one we made our way to Richmond in the tube and walked along the ringer there, awed by the expensive house fronting the river walk but enjoying the tranquility. We wandered through Petersham Meadow, and across into Richmond Park itself. Climbing the hill we came in sight of Pembroke Lodge, with pretty gardens and an almost 360 degree vista if London. Could imagine Pete leaping through the grass, and flying kites there. Sadly, Dan was busy working and did not catch up for larks it he park. Walking down through Richmond gate, we caught a bus to Richmond and then another one for Hammersmith, arriving back at Brooke Green for a latish Nana nap as we were due to meet Peter's friends in Camden Town in the reply evening. Peter worried in Camden with these guys and the Crown and Goose was their local, which they frequented when indeed if inspiration for their productions. Andy, Lee, Chris and Chris were very welcoming. Jo ( ex silverstream Teacher came along too. The boys had been drinking for a wee while, so soon we found ourselves inside the pub with more drinks and food ordered. Te decor if the pub was shabby chic, but it had a rougher and timber atmosphere which was good. We spent a lot of time talking and joshing, laughing and reminiscing. Chris Pullan came along to is there were school stories to be shared as well. The boys decided they were going oto other places of entertainment and we bade find farewells to them all. us girls departed too for the tube, and travelled together for a while until it was time to say goodbye. A great event, with promises of keeping in touch. In fact a day was planned with Andy which M and I looked forward to, meeting. As we should have before, at Sepherd Bush station.
