We went back to some of the Peter places that Miriam had showed us. She had been with us on Wednesday, but we were suffering from a 30 hour flight and had not taken everything in. Consequently we took rather a Roundabout way to get to where we wanted to be, which we discovered when we walked back to the apartment the quick way! We met with Nic again and made arrangements to go to Utopicus, where P had worked and meet up with Mariajo. As we had time we thought also to go to the tabacalera, where we would see the caverns where dibujo madrid met ( drawing group). when we got there it was not open and would not be til 5.00. So back we went. At Utopicus we met Yago and looked around the workshops. Then Mariajo came in and we talked with her. She then took us and showed us a good place for lunch. Meals are always interesting you are never quite sure what you are getting! It was nice of all these people to share their memories of Peter. Information about Tabacalera here. We returned to later In the day to meet with Lucas. After a bit of a wait, we met with him. He took us into the huge building that was once a tabacco factory. It is high and cavernous as you will see in the pictures. Every Tuesday there is a drawing group that gathers in one of the rooms. Another Peter place. The pictures tell the story, but there are many artists that use this space. Once again Nic used her magic to take us to another restaurant. This one had a heap of mismatched furniture And in the drawers of our table were all sorts of messages that diners had left. Only one or two out of the hundred in English so we added a couple of kiwi messages!
